Room Steward

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean guest rooms, meeting rooms, offices, cloakrooms, and public areas as directed. Maintain clean, well-stocked linen shelves and ensure effective supply to all hotel outlets.
• Guest Services: Assist at reception as porters for incoming and outgoing guests. Ensure the comfort of in-house guests and promote the security of guest property within the establishment.
• Laundry Coordination: Coordinate with the laundry department for the efficient exchange of clean and dirty linen. Receive, sort, and process guest laundry, ensuring proper billing, packaging, and delivery.
• Operational Support: Set up rooms and facilities for conferences, workshops, and seminars. Ensure the security of keys within your custody.
• Standards & Records: Maintain safety and hygiene standards while adhering to costs. Maintain up-to-date records of daily linen circulation and ensure proper maintenance of work equipment.
• Strategy Implementation: Fully implement the Jumuia Resorts Strategic plan and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements & Qualifications

• Level of Education: At least Secondary School Education (KCSE).
• Specialized Training: At least a Certificate in Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Relevant Job Experience: Must have worked in a similar position for at least one year.
• Core Competencies: Must maintain high hygiene standards at all times, possess good planning and organization skills, and be a team player.
