Job Description
Bobu Africa is looking for a Reservations Intern to join their team. This role involves supporting the reservations department in managing travel arrangements and providing excellent service to clients. The ideal candidate will assist in the end-to-end booking process, ensuring that all travel components like flights, hotels, and activities are confirmed and communicated effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Support in processing and confirming flight reservations, hotels, and activities.
Liaise with hotels, airlines, and service providers to ensure availability and smooth delivery.
Assist in issuing hotel vouchers, itineraries, quotations, invoices, and booking confirmations to the sales team.
Assist the sales team in creating itineraries based on client needs.
Address booking changes, cancellations, special requests, and provide emergency support.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to align bookings with company processes.
Assist in keeping up-to-date digital and physical files for all reservations and related documents.
Monitor service standards, gather feedback, and help improve the process.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in reservations for a safari tour company and tour operations.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with booking systems.
Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a customer-first approach.
Knowledge of East Africa destinations is a plus.
