Research Interns

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to good clinical practice (GCP) within a research environment.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to research studies.
• Collect data and manage study participants efficiently.
• Obtain informed consent, maintain participant confidentiality, and handle study data in accordance with ethical standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project operations.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Community Health Nursing and Midwifery, Community Health and Development, Nutrition, Social Work, or related fields.
• Experience: Must have graduated between one and five (1-5) years ago.
• Age: Kenyan youth below 30 years of age.
• Professional Registration: Nurses must have a valid practicing license and be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Certifications: Must provide a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Logistics: Willing to live and work in Migori.
• Insurance: Interns are expected to take up personal accident and medical insurance cover.
• Competencies: Strong analytical, report writing, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Attributes: Passionate about maternal, child, and community health; a good team player; and willing to learn research skills under mentorship.
