Mount Kenya University (MKU) is a fully fledged chartered university committed to a broad-based, wholistic and inclusive system of education. The university is seeking a Remote Tele-Medicine Lecturer in Radiology to support its goal of promoting human resource development. This role is responsible for delivering online lectures, virtual demonstrations, and tele-medicine training sessions in accordance with the approved curriculum and course schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver online lectures, virtual demonstrations, and tele-medicine training sessions for radiology subjects.
Prepare digital teaching materials, e-learning resources, and virtual instructional content for undergraduate and graduate students.
Facilitate interactive online learning through virtual platforms and teleconferencing technologies.
Administer online Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), assignments, and examinations in line with University regulations.
Set, invigilate, mark, and submit assessments and examination results within stipulated timelines.
Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and supervision to students via virtual platforms.
Support students in clinical case discussions, tele-medicine simulations, and research activities.
Utilize tele-medicine technologies and digital learning systems effectively to enhance teaching outcomes.
Maintain accurate electronic student records, attendance registers, and progress updates within the Academic Management System.
Keep updated with advancements in tele-medicine, digital health technologies, and medical education.
Participate in virtual academic meetings, curriculum reviews, quality assurance activities, and professional seminars.
Collaborate with stakeholders to advance research, innovation, and digital healthcare learning.
Maintain confidentiality and professional ethical standards in online instruction.
Requirements and Qualifications
Master of Medicine in relevant area of specialization (Radiology) from a recognized academic institution.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
At least three (3) years of teaching and research experience at a university level.
Relevant work experience in the industry.
Must be registered and licensed to practice by the Relevant Professional Body.
An earned PhD degree qualification in the relevant area or being registered for a PhD will be an added advantage.
