The University is seeking a Remote Tele-Medicine Lecturer specializing in Biochemistry to join the Medical School. This role involves delivering high-quality online education, conducting virtual demonstrations, and providing tele-medicine training to undergraduate and graduate students.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Dean of the Medical School, the Lecturer will leverage digital health technologies and e-learning resources to foster an inclusive and progressive learning environment. The position is primarily remote, focusing on the intersection of medical biochemistry and tele-medicine instruction.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction and Delivery: Deliver online lectures, virtual demonstrations, and tele-medicine training sessions in accordance with the approved curriculum and course schedules.
Content Development: Prepare digital teaching materials, e-learning resources, and virtual instructional content for both undergraduate and graduate medical students.
Interactive Learning: Facilitate interactive online learning experiences through virtual learning platforms and teleconferencing technologies.
Assessment: Administer online Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), assignments, practical assessments, and examinations. Set, invigilate, mark, and submit assessment results within stipulated timelines.
Mentorship: Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and supervision to students through virtual platforms.
Clinical Support: Support students in clinical case discussions, tele-medicine simulations, research activities, and evidence-based practice.
Technology Utilization: Ensure effective utilization of tele-medicine technologies and digital learning systems to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Administration: Maintain accurate electronic student records, attendance registers, assessment reports, and learner progress updates within the Academic Management System.
Professional Development: Keep abreast of advancements in tele-medicine, digital health technologies, and medical education to enhance curriculum delivery.
Collaboration: Participate in virtual academic meetings, curriculum reviews, quality assurance activities, workshops, and professional seminars. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in research and innovation.
Ethics and Compliance: Observe confidentiality, data protection requirements, and professional ethical standards in the delivery of online and tele-medicine instruction.
