The Relationship Officer for Personal Banking is responsible for managing and growing the personal banking portfolio. This involves intense customer acquisition, meticulous loan processing and management, deposit mobilization, and active client relationship maintenance, with a focus on promoting the bank's digital services.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Onboarding and Training:
- Onboard and train customers on digital platforms.
Client Acquisition and Marketing:
- Acquire new customers through marketing and institutional visits to private institutions, NGOs, parastatals, and government institutions.
- Conduct strategic marketing drives and forums, including counties and schools.
Customer and Institutional Appraisal:
- Facilitate MOUs and loan facilities through customer and institutional appraisals.
Loan Processing and Management:
- Ensure timely loan approvals and disbursements within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Compile loan applications for discussion at the Branch Credit Committee (BCC).
- Complete loan contracts by explaining risks, reviewing applications, obtaining signatures, and batch proofing.
- Review financial data to determine risk factors for decision-making at the BCC.
Arrears and Post-Disbursement Management:
- Engage with customers daily to manage arrears.
- Conduct post-disbursement visits to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance.
Client Assistance and Relationship Management:
- Assist clients in determining the most suitable loan to meet their financial objectives and needs.
- Promptly follow up on customer complaints until resolved.
- Maintain and manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Deposit Mobilization:
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- University degree in a Business-Related Course, Education, Social Sciences, or Advanced Diploma in a business-related course.
- Overall C+ in KCSE (including a C+ in mathematics).
- 2-3 Years’ experience.
- Computer literacy with high command in Microsoft suite.
