The Relationship Manager for Sahl (Islamic Banking) at the Takaba Branch is responsible for leading customer relations for both corporate and retail segments. The role focuses on driving the growth and maintenance of the SAHL business book through the sale of Shari’ah-compliant products, relationship management, and ensuring high service standards. The incumbent will work closely with relationship teams and retail branch networks to achieve business targets while mitigating risks such as fraud and revenue leakages.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Lead and manage customer relations for both Corporate and Retail clients to ensure retention and growth. Maintain and grow existing SAHL customers through enhanced relationships.
Sales and Business Growth: Achieve set targets in terms of numbers and values for both liabilities and assets through Shari’ah-compliant product sales and cross-selling other basket products.
Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate losses such as fraud and revenue leakages. Manage Portfolio at Risk (PAR) within set targets.
Operational Excellence: Ensure proper documentation and administration of Shari’ah-compliant portfolios.
Strategic Leadership: Responsible for leadership, management, and growth of the SAHL book within the branch.
Staff Development: Training and development of branch staff to enhance their understanding of Islamic banking products.
Service Delivery: Monitor and manage SAHL customer complaints, review service delivery standards, and optimize staff positioning to maintain the highest service levels.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
Certification: Islamic Banking Certification is considered an added advantage.
General Experience: At least 3 years of general work experience.
Specialized Experience:
2 years of experience in Banking Operations.
2 years of experience in Sharia (Islamic) banking.
2 years of experience in Credit.
2 years of experience in Sales and Relationship Management.
