The Relationship Manager, Barakah Banking (Corporate) is responsible for ensuring quality business growth from existing and new customers, with a focus on both the asset and liability book in line with agreed targets. The role focuses on facilitating shariah-compliant products under the Barakah banking book, retention/maintenance of customers, and growing the existing portfolio through deeper penetration into corporate clients' business and personal banking requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer queries and obtain review information from customers.
Analyze submitted credit applications and provide recommendations.
Initiate security perfection in liaison with the Legal Department.
Disbursement of facilities and collection of processing fees/commissions.
Monitor covenants and sanction terms.
Review and sign bank documents (e.g., Letters of offer, Bank Guarantees, Non-Disclosure Agreements, CMA discharges).
Cross-sell bank products.
Provide timely feedback in relation to customer requests or inquiries.
Liaise with other departments (Credit, Legal, IB, ICT) to resolve customer issues.
Adhere to bank strategy and budget requirements as per bank policy.
Canvass for new business and obtain the necessary approvals.
Monitor and follow up on account performance.
Conduct regular client visits to review business performance and submit call reports.
Refer cross-border business to I&M Group, IMIA, Burbidge Capital, and Wealth Management.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field.
Strong knowledge of Islamic Banking and finance.
Relevant professional qualification.
Active membership in a relevant professional body.
Work Experience
Over seven (7) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in management within a similar organization.
