Job Description
The County Government of Kisumu is recruiting 107 Registered Nurses III to provide essential health services across the county's healthcare facilities. This role is fundamental to the delivery of quality patient care, encompassing clinical nursing, community health support, and specialized areas such as midwifery and mental health. Registered Nurses at this grade are expected to uphold the highest standards of the nursing profession and ensure effective patient management and safety.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in clinical and community settings.
Conduct patient assessments and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Maintain accurate and detailed health records and patient reports.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment adherence.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient recovery.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Must hold a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health/Psychiatry, or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
Must possess a Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Must have a valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Proficiency in computer applications is required.
