Job Description
The County Government of Nandi is seeking to recruit 50 qualified Registered Nurses II to join its healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, managing patient treatment plans, and supporting public health initiatives within the county's facilities. Nurses will be expected to apply their training in community health, midwifery, or psychiatry to serve the local population effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
Providing health education and counseling to patients and their families.
Participating in community health outreach and education programs.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
A Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
A Valid practicing licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Proficiency in Computer application packages.
