The Regional Insights & Analytics Specialist will support data-driven decision-making by consolidating market insights, sales data, competitive intelligence, and consumer trends across three countries: Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya. The role involves transforming regional data into actionable insights to drive commercial strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence Hub: Build and maintain a regional market insights hub covering category trends, pricing, consumer behavior, and competitor mapping.
Data Visualization: Consolidate channel and SKU-level performance data from all regional markets into a unified, easy-to-understand dashboard.
Opportunity Identification: Identify early opportunities for new categories or brands based on regional data analysis.
Category Gap Analysis: Support vendor sourcing efforts with data-backed category gap analyses.
Performance Measurement: Measure the commercial impact of marketing and trade activities to ensure optimal ROI.
Management Reporting: Prepare and present monthly regional insights to the management team.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.
Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or category management.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI (or similar business intelligence tools).
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical storytelling skills with the ability to turn data into narratives for decision-makers.
Industry Context: Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or market research sectors is highly preferred.
Travel: Must be based in Nairobi but willing and able to travel frequently within East Africa.
