Role Overview
Flexi-Personnel is seeking a Quantitative Interviewer based in Kilifi to support data collection activities. The role involves conducting structured interviews with study participants and ensuring the accurate capture of quantitative data using digital tools such as SurveyCTO. This position involves field engagement and requires adherence to strict research ethics and safeguarding procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training & Preparation: Commit to attending all days of training and data collection to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Participant Engagement: Obtain and document informed consent from all study participants prior to conducting interviews.
Data Collection: Conduct and record all interviews with respondents using digital recorders and electronic data capture devices.
Reporting: Participate in daily debriefing meetings to share progress and address challenges encountered in the field.
Equipment Management: Act as a responsible custodian of all APHRC data collection equipment provided for the fieldwork.
Compliance: Strictly observe safeguarding procedures and ethical guidelines throughout the data engagement process.
Support: Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor to support the project’s success.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate, with a minimum grade of C plain.
Technical Experience: Previous experience in electronic data capture methods, specifically using SurveyCTO and electronic digital recorders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy to ensure the correctness of all data entered during the interview process.
Locality: Must be a resident of the targeted county (Kilifi).
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Swahili. Proficiency in local languages (written and spoken) is an added advantage.
Availability: Must be available to work full-time on the project for the entire duration of the engagement.
