The Quality Assurance Officer at the Commission for University Education (CUE) is responsible for maintaining and regulating the standards of university education in Kenya. This role involves verifying academic qualifications, managing the licensing of student recruitment agencies, and coordinating with external quality assurance peer reviewers. The officer plays a vital role in ensuring educational integrity through rigorous data management and compliance oversight.
Responsibilities
Provide detailed information to clients regarding the standardization, recognition, and equation of qualification processes.
Receive and verify applications for the recognition and equation of academic qualifications.
Prepare essential documentation for meetings, training sessions, and workshops related to the licensing of student recruitment agencies.
Schedule meetings for external quality assurance peer reviewers and facilitate their coordination.
Prepare documents for quality assurance seminars and workshops.
Document and process applications for licensing from student recruitment agencies.
Compile and manage processed appeals regarding recruitment agencies.
Process requests and follow up on payments for peer reviewers.
Maintain and update the database regarding the recognition and equation of qualifications.
Conduct periodic audits to update the database of commissioned peer reviewers.
Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a recognized Institution.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications.
Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (Ethics and Integrity).
