Role Overview
IQVIA is seeking a Public Health Consultant to provide high-quality, timely development and input for client solutions in the healthcare industry. The role ranges in complexity from basic analysis and problem-solving to assisting in the development of complex solutions and leading small teams. The consultant will support projects by conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, developing proposals, and preparing detailed specifications for governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with the review and analysis of client requirements or problems and the development of cost-effective proposals.
Support Project Managers and Engagement Managers in developing detailed documentation and specifications.
Perform basic quantitative or qualitative analyses to identify client issues and develop client-specific solutions.
Assist in designing and structuring presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
Proactively develop a basic knowledge of consulting methodologies and the healthcare market through consulting engagements and learning opportunities.
Support business development by preparing responses to Expressions of Interest (EoIs) and proposals for government and donor community opportunities.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, or International Development. An undergraduate degree (MBBS/BHMS is desirable).
Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience working for a governmental, intergovernmental, and/or non-governmental organization in the health sector.
Skills:
Excellent report writing and PowerPoint development skills.
Knowledge of consulting methods, tools, and techniques.
Excellent understanding of the health sector, public health structures, multi-laterals, and health programs in Africa.
Flair for business development through proposal and grant writing.
Language Proficiency: Minimum C1 level in English. French or Portuguese at a minimum B2 level is a considerable advantage.
Personal Attributes: Willingness to travel and adaptability to change.
Desirable: Prior consulting or advisory experience in the public health sector.
