Stellar Human Resource Solutions is recruiting a Project Manager for an NGO client based in Nairobi. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of NGO-focused projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict alignment with donor requirements. A critical component of this role includes securing project funding through professional grant writing and the development of high-quality donor proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee projects from initial planning through to execution, monitoring, and final closure.
Grant Writing & Proposals: Lead initiatives to secure funding by writing compelling grants and developing donor proposals.
Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, managing relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Monitoring & Reporting: Track project performance and prepare technical and financial reports for internal management and external donors.
Team Leadership: Provide direction and support to project teams to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Development, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional project management experience specifically within the NGO sector.
Grant Expertise: Proven track record and experience in grant writing and donor proposal development.
Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 certification is considered a strong added advantage.
Technical Skills: Expertise in project planning, budgeting, and comprehensive reporting.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
