Job Description
Plan International is seeking a Project Coordinator for the Future4Binti project in Dukana. You will be responsible for the implementation of the project activities within four pathways to ensure that the Future4Binti strategic goal is achieved. This role involves working closely with the Project Manager, implementing officers, government officials, private sector players, community-based organizations (CBOs), and targeted girls, boys, and families to provide training and mentoring in child rights, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), and child marriage prevention.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery: Ensure effective project delivery through gender-transformative strategies, community engagement, and collaborative work plan coordination.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with partners, empower youth, influence stakeholders, and deliver field reports.
Partnership Management: Manage community and county-level partnerships, represent the project, and build partner capacity.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Track progress with M&E frameworks, document lessons learned, and hold reflection sessions to improve interventions.
Financial Oversight: Monitor project-specific financial plans and expenditures within approved budgets.
Risk Management: Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation mechanisms.
Safeguarding: Adhere to and enforce global policies for Safeguarding, Preventing Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (PSHEA), and Gender Equality principles.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Community Development, or another relevant field.
At least 3 years’ experience in working with children and young people in protection, education, and development.
Strong knowledge of community development with a focus on SRHR, SGBV, and adolescent health.
Knowledge of donor reporting mechanisms.
Evidence of collaboration with government line ministries, county governments, private sector, and marginalized communities.
Experienced in the execution of participatory trainings.
Understanding and experience in advocacy and influencing.
Contract Period: 2 years.
