Job Description
Role Overview
The Programme ICT Officer is responsible for the technical management and maintenance of Information and Communication Technology systems for the County Youth Service and Women Empowerment Programme. The role involves identifying improvements for software and systems, ensuring data and network security, and providing technical support and training to users to facilitate seamless programme operations.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and implementation opportunities to enhance and update software and systems.
Conduct routine evaluations of networks and data security measures.
Generate routine systems operations reports and present findings to the Programme Director.
Write and test basic computer programs to support programme requirements.
Assist in the implementation and integration of new computer systems.
Provide user support and technical training to staff.
Perform repair and maintenance tasks on ICT equipment and hardware.
Requirements for Appointment
Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
KCSE mean grade C (plain) with at least a C- in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili, or its approved equivalent.
Experience leading and managing large IT infrastructure across various technologies.
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, networks, system administration, database, and data storage systems.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent programme management skills and strong ability to prioritize tasks.
Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
