As an MSP Tier 3 NOC Engineer, you will be responsible for high-level network monitoring, incident management, and complex troubleshooting within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. You will support varied client infrastructures using advanced networking tools and hardware.
Responsibilities
Perform high-level network monitoring and incident management.
Handle complex troubleshooting within the Network Operations Center environment.
Manage and configure network hardware including routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
Administer network security via firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Watchguard).
Utilize advanced monitoring tools for network performance and stability.
Conduct packet analysis and deep troubleshooting using Wireshark and tcpdump.
Coordinate with field technicians and dispatch operations for incident resolution.
Implement and support VPN, SD-WAN, and load balancers.
Technical Requirements
Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, and QoS.
Experience with Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba/HP, and Meraki hardware.
Familiarity with Firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet, and Watchguard.
Proficiency in monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, or Cosmos.
Skills in Wireshark, tcpdump, and packet analysis.
Knowledge of VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers, and wired/wireless networking.
(Preferred) Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality technology.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: BA/BSc/HND or Professional Certificate in a relevant field.
Experience: 1+ years of experience in network operations or a NOC environment.
Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CCNP, Ruckus Certified, Aruba Certified, Meraki Certified, or other relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, CWNA, Fortinet NSE).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, calm under pressure, and team mentoring skills.
