The Commission for University Education (CUE) is seeking a Programme Accreditation Officer (Grade CUE 6). This role is centered on regulating, coordinating, and assuring quality in university education through the assessment of academic programs and administrative support of the accreditation process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing administrative and logistical arrangements for Site Inspections, Workshops, and meetings.
Organizing documentation for Departmental and Accreditation Committee Meetings, Project Meetings, and Workshops.
Inputting data on the status of programmes received, being evaluated, and approved.
Inputting data on prequalified peer reviewers into the official departmental database.
Writing minutes for all departmental and lower-level Commission Committee Meetings.
Assessing academic programmes for compliance with the Commission's guidelines.
Preparing site inspection reports on academic programs for institutions.
Examining proposals for courses of study and course regulations submitted by Universities.
Preparing documents for the facilitation of Panel Meetings, Curriculum Accreditation Sub-Committee Meetings, site inspections, and programme accreditation trainings and workshops.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences, or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
