Job Description
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing high-quality interior finishing materials while ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to project timelines. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strict financial discipline across construction and interior projects.
Key Responsibilities
Material Sourcing & Negotiation: Source and negotiate for finishing materials including gypsum, tiles, plumbing, electrical components, and joinery.
Cost Control: Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors (QS), and Finance teams to ensure controlled, stage-by-stage project spending.
Technical Analysis: Utilize a strong understanding of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material take-offs to estimate requirements and manage cost structures.
Ethics & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of procurement ethics, compliance, and financial discipline at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying (QS), or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or interior finishing projects.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of BOQs, material take-offs, and project cost structures.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in sourcing and negotiating for finishing materials (gypsum, tiles, plumbing, electrical, joinery, etc.).
