Job Description
The Procurement Associate is responsible for supporting the procurement function by ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services required for business operations. The role focuses on maintaining supplier relationships, processing purchase requests, negotiating pricing where applicable, and ensuring adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Study average daily sales and propose a purchasing plan.
Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers regarding quality, price, delivery, and payment terms based on category guidelines.
Schedule regular reports including open, partially delivered, and overdue POs, goods in transit, supplier performance matrix, inventory turn rate, and overstocks.
Manage and monitor the procurement and delivery of goods to warehouses to ensure KPIs are met and revised regularly.
Improve supplier lead-time compliance through optimization of delivery tracking.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives.
Assist in monitoring all distribution agreement contracts, invoices, and purchase orders (POs).
Manage and implement strategies for procuring and distributing goods to maintain optimal stock levels.
Act as the single point of contact for the Commercial Procurement function.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3-4 years of relevant experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
Solid understanding of Supply Chain Management procedures and logistics skills.
Strong strategic planning abilities.
Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
