Diageo is seeking a Process Clerk responsible for ensuring effective control, compliance, and accurate reporting of all material movements across the supply chain. The role ensures integrity in materials management, adherence to approved procedures, and reliable tracking of performance indicators.
Role Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety regulations, including operating equipment according to safety guidelines for personal and team safety.
Hygiene Standards: Sustain the hygiene state of store plants in accordance with food safety standards by following cleaning schedules and carrying out Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
Materials Management: Validate and receive all materials into brewing and packaging stores; perform real-time posting of all control records in SAP.
Inventory Operations: Issue raw materials and components to the operation team based on the daily production plan; account for and post all material movements in SAP in real-time.
Equipment Verification: Calibrate and verify the accuracy of all intake measurement equipment and user stores weighers.
Reporting and Accounting: Account for finished products, by-products, and sundries. Generate weekly production reports including volumes and key ratios.
Stock Management: Conduct weekly stock takes as per finance and stock controls; generate stock variance reports for approval and report end-to-end extract losses.
Analysis: Analyze adherence to SAP Bill of Materials (BOM) and recommend management actions. Analyze operational cost structures to initiate COGs improvement projects.
Training and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in processes and material loss reduction. Train and coach Operators and asset care teams to increase financial awareness.
Quality and Food Safety: Adhere to quality and food safety standards for storage of raw materials and packaging components (monitoring conditions, hygienic handling, FIFO compliance).
Lifecycle Monitoring: Conduct weekly monitoring and reporting of shelf life/SLOBs to avoid expiries and write-offs; segregate and monitor non-conforming materials.
Systems Implementation: Ensure implementation of Food Safety, Quality, Environment, and Safety Management Systems (FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BS 18001).
Deployment: Comply with flexible deployment on shifts to deliver improvement targets.
Experience / Skills Required
Degree in Accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or an equivalent field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience is typically required for the degree-level competency in this role.
1-3 years of specific experience in an FMCG environment under bookkeeping and stocks management is an added advantage.
Working experience in SAP is required.
Competency in computers is a must.
