The National Youth Service (NYS) is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Privates - Electricians. This role is part of a national initiative to help youth develop their potential and provide technical expertise within the government framework. The position offers permanent and pensionable terms of service and includes comprehensive medical cover under the SHA Scheme of Civil Servants.

Responsibilities
While specific daily tasks are managed within the service, the role generally involves:
Performing electrical installations and maintenance of wiring and equipment.
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical malfunctions.
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
Maintaining the standards and discipline expected of the National Youth Service.
Requirements for Appointment
A minimum grade of D+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its approved equivalent.
Must have successfully undergone the initial NYS Paramilitary Training.
Must be in possession of a National Trade Test, Craft, or Diploma Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related courses.
Must have no criminal record.
For candidates in the General Duty Cadre, a Senior Service Man/Woman (I and II) certificate is required.
