Information about the Role
Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) was established in June 2004 as the semi-autonomous agency responsible for regulatory oversight of the Kenyan maritime industry. The Authority is seeking a Principal Resource Centre Officer to strengthen maritime administration through enhanced library services and institutional knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
Implementing Library work programmes within the Authority.
Planning and coordinating comprehensive library services and programs.
Assessing and developing the library collection to ensure relevance and quality.
Developing outreach programmes as part of the Authority's Knowledge Sharing strategy.
Providing professional and technical information on targeted areas for staff, leveraging wide readership experience.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Arts (Archaeology) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Studies.
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, which must have been at the level of a senior officer.
