The Principal Cancer Prevention and Control Officer (Vacancy No. NCI-K/36/04/2026) coordinates the provision of policy advisory, regulation, and ethical practice within the cancer control framework. The mandate includes overseeing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) strategies, as well as prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for cancer patients. This senior role involves securing oncology commodities and technologies, capacity building, and facilitating cancer research. Furthermore, the officer coordinates the establishment and maintenance of the National Cancer Registry and manages regional cancer centers to inform national decisions in cancer prevention and control.
