Holy Cross Catholic International School is a traditional Catholic school faithful to the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church in union with the Catholic Hierarchy. The school is owned and operated by the Society of St. Pius X which is a congregation of priests and religious leaders dedicated to the preservation and promulgation of traditional Catholic teachings.
Role Overview
The main purpose of the role is to teach and educate students in line with the pedagogy of the Cambridge International Curriculum, under the overall guidance of the subject panel head, School Principal, and any other school authority according to the values and ethos of the Catholic Church.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to your care.
Deliver exceptional, real-world, enquiry-based lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.
Contribute to and share responsibility for the realization of the vision and philosophy of the school.
Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes, and behaviors expected from all members of staff.
Work within the school's policies and framework relating to teachers' responsibilities.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students, and organized.
Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons so that students are excited and interested in academic excellence.
Diagnose students' needs on a regular basis and cooperate with other staff members in helping students resolve health, attitude, and learning problems.
Be accountable for students' mastery of content and academic standards.
Maintain positive, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.
Requirements & Qualifications
At least 3 years of teaching experience in primary school.
Valid TSC (Teachers Service Commission) registration certificate.
Must be a practicing Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Flexible, open to change, and able to handle uncertainty and complexity well.
Conversant with the use of technology as a teaching and learning tool.
