Holy Cross Catholic International School is a traditional Catholic school faithful to the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church in union with the Catholic Hierarchy. The school is owned and operated by the Society of St. Pius X which is a congregation of priests and religious leaders dedicated to the preservation and promulgation of the traditional Catholic faith.
About the Role
The main purpose of the role is to plan and deliver the Cambridge International Curriculum to learners in line with the pedagogy of Cambridge International Education, under the guidance of the subject Head of Department, School Principal and the School Administration according to the values and ethos of the Catholic Church. To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Education: Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care by the Head of School.
Curriculum Delivery: Deliver exceptional, real-world, enquiry-based lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.
School Philosophy: Contribute to and share responsibility for the realization of the vision and philosophy of the school.
Professional Conduct: Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes and behaviors that are expected from all members of staff.
Policy Compliance: Work within the school's policies and framework relating to teachers’ responsibilities.
Classroom Management: Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and maintain an organized and focused learning environment.
Student Engagement: Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons so that students are excited and interested in their academic excellence.
Student Support: Diagnose students' needs on a regular basis and cooperate with other members of staff in helping students resolve health, attitude and learning problems.
Academic Standards: Be accountable for students' mastery of content and academic standards.
Community Relations: Maintain positive, constructive and professional relationships with students, their families and colleagues.
