Strathmore School is seeking a qualified and motivated Mathematics teacher to join its Upper Primary team. The role involves delivering Mathematical Activities within the Competency Based Education (CBE) curriculum, with a focus on engaging learners in active, problem-solving-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the CBE curriculum and syllabus.
Prepare learning materials and maintain professional teaching documents.
Plan and implement effective classroom management practices.
Support learners in bridging learning gaps through targeted learning support.
Engage learners in active, hands-on, and creative problem-solving activities.
Support co-curricular activities through sports coaching or club patronage.
Contribute to the school's mentorship programme for learner character development.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
A Diploma or University Degree in Education with Mathematics as a teaching subject.
A minimum of C+ at O-Level (KCSE or equivalent).
At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Valid TSC (Teachers Service Commission) registration.
Certificate of good conduct.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable
Proven experience preparing learners for the Kenya Primary Schools Education Assessment (KPSEA).
