Amentum is seeking a Port Operations Maintenance Superintendent to oversee daily maintenance operations supporting port facilities, waterfront structures, equipment, and operational assets. The successful candidate will lead maintenance teams to ensure the safety, efficiency, and longevity of port infrastructure in accordance with Navy and program standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management: Oversee daily maintenance operations supporting port facilities, waterfront structures, equipment, and operational assets.
Team Leadership: Coordinate, schedule, and supervise maintenance teams performing repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on port infrastructure.
Infrastructure Upkeep: Ensure proper upkeep of piers, fender systems, bollards, mooring equipment, small-boat facilities, and associated support structures.
Documentation: Manage work orders, maintenance logs, material usage, and documentation in accordance with Navy and program standards.
Inspections: Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify deficiencies, safety hazards, and required corrective actions.
Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to support vessel movements, port readiness, and operational requirements.
Resource Accountability: Ensure proper use, accountability, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
Emergency Response: Support emergency response actions related to port operations, including storm preparation, equipment failures, or safety incidents.
Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to maintenance personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant task execution.
Communication: Communicate operational updates, maintenance status, and issues to supervisors and Navy leadership as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in port operations, facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related technical environments.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE); additional training in maintenance management, marine operations, or engineering preferred.
Travel: Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least one year beyond hire date) and be able to travel internationally.
Medical: Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
