We help over a million people to access education and training, from nursery level to postgraduate scholarships and teacher training. We are currently seeking a Physics/Chemistry Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum, ensuring student understanding and engagement.
Responsibilities
Instruction and Lesson Delivery: Plan and teach lessons in line with the curriculum, using appropriate teaching methods to support student understanding and engagement.
Assessment and Evaluation: Prepare tests, assignments, and exams; mark and provide feedback; monitor and record students' academic progress.
Classroom Management: Maintain discipline, create a safe and inclusive learning environment, and manage student behavior effectively.
Student Support and Guidance: Mentor and guide students on academic and personal development, identify learning difficulties, and refer cases where necessary.
Professional and Administrative Duties: Attend staff meetings, prepare schemes of work and lesson plans, keep records, communicate with parents/guardians, and participate in school activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
A degree in Education.
Two years post-graduation experience in teaching.
Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Able and willing to live, work and travel in a fast-paced and insecure environment adhering to strict security guidelines.
