IQVIA is seeking a Pharmacy Sales Representative based in Mombasa. Formerly Quintiles and IMS Health, Inc., IQVIA is an American multinational company serving the health information technology and clinical research industries. As a Pharmacy Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and promotion of pharmaceutical products within the pharmacy channel, managing key relationships, and providing technical support to staff.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell pharmaceutical products to pharmacies to achieve and exceed sales targets and business objectives.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships within the pharmacy channel to maximize business opportunities.
Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients and understand the competitive landscape, adapting strategies as necessary.
Product Expertise: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product portfolio, including indications, contraindications, and clinical data. Detail pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.
Training and Support: Conduct planned 'Lunch & Learn' sessions (target of 6 per month) to train in-store staff on product usage, benefits, and compliance.
Coordination: Coordinate the efforts of assigned third-party merchandising agents.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and client feedback to management.
Negotiation: Negotiate orders to meet demand, ensure expected stock pull-through, and secure an adequate share of shelf (SoS) and forward share in line with market share.
Compliance: Ensure diligent use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: A university degree, preferably in a science, medical, or paramedical field, or FMCG background.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Self-Motivation: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently to achieve sales goals.
