Job Description
PCEA Chogoria Hospital is seeking to recruit a qualified and dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to patients, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to regulatory standards set by the Pharmaceutical and Poisons Board.
Responsibilities and Duties
Accurately interpreting and dispensing prescriptions to patients.
Providing detailed information and counseling to patients regarding medication usage, dosages, and potential side effects.
Ensuring high levels of accuracy in the labeling and preparation of medications.
Maintaining pharmaceutical inventory and ensuring proper storage conditions for all medical supplies.
Communicating effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Delivering exceptional customer service to all patients and hospital visitors.
Upholding professional ethics and compliance with health regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized training institution.
Current and valid registration with the Pharmaceutical and Poisons Board (PPB).
Keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in pharmaceutical tasks.
Demonstrated ability to interpret medical prescriptions accurately.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven customer service skills.
