Equity Afia is a group of qualified and experienced doctors who have come together as a network of medical entrepreneurs with the aim of providing high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare to the majority of Kenyans. The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the Equity Afia Medical Centre, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of medications to patients.
Responsibilities
Dispensing medications and providing instructions to patients on their correct use, dosage, and storage.
Maintaining accurate patient records and pharmacy inventory.
Ensuring compliance with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations and standards.
Managing stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring expiry dates.
Utilizing Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) for pharmaceutical data management.
Providing excellent customer service and interpersonal communication to patients and staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree in Pharmacy or a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
At least 3 years of post-internship working experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
Must be registered and hold a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
Proficiency in computer skills, with specific experience in Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the medical team.
