About the Role

As a Payroll Lead, you will act as a subject matter expert for the country, managing the full end-to-end payroll cycle and ensuring compliance with all local regulations. Key Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a true subject matter expert for the specific country.
Stakeholder Management: Manage existing relationships with key stakeholders within Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering departments.
End-to-End Payroll: Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, handle statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.
Data Integrity: Ensure full data integrity and quality across all payroll systems.
Accounting: Handle payroll-related accounting and reconciliations.
Performance: Focus on maintaining and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Process Improvement: Implement and improve processes to drive efficiency.
Leadership: Mentor and support payroll specialists and serve as a backup for regional managers during times of absence.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Prior payroll management or equivalent experience.
Knowledge: Deep knowledge of payroll best practices.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using software tools like SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.
Problem Solving: An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
Productivity: You are a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up your work.
Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English; comfortable working largely asynchronously.
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Additional Assets: Experience working remotely is considered a plus. Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities.
