Join Inchcape Africa, part of Inchcape’s global network, as a Parts Field Sales Representative. You will play a key role in growing a global business that’s transforming the automotive industry, working with leading automotive brands and delivering exceptional experiences for our customers. This position reports to the National Parts Manager and is based in Mombasa, Nairobi, and Nanyuki.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management: Build productive working relationships with fellow employees through clear communications and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and staff.
Technical Support: Assist Service Technicians in determining parts requirements and provide them with necessary parts with minimal wait time (utilizing pre-picking where applicable).
Customer Service: Receive and answer customer enquiries on parts, inform customers when special order parts have arrived, and perform follow-ups for sales.
Sales & Retailing: Apply retailing techniques to sell and display parts and accessories; execute sales growth strategies monthly and quarterly.
Inventory Control: Maintain tight control over parts inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate customer delays, while keeping idle and obsolete inventory to a minimum.
Administrative Duties: Maintain a proper filing system for all paperwork (repair orders, special orders, back orders, etc.) and map regions according to purchasing capabilities to prepare detailed visit plans.
Promotion & Growth: Actively participate in company-organized promotions, upselling parts during customer service, and evaluating parts accounts/prospects to ensure customer loyalty.
Market Awareness: Keep up to date with New Holland and competitor products and rates.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in agricultural machinery parts sales with a notable sales record.
Certification: A valid Driving License is required.
Skills: High level of accuracy and attention to detail; strong customer focus; and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
