Mount Kenya University (MKU) is seeking qualified and experienced Part-Time Trainers in Maritime Security to facilitate, develop, and deliver maritime security training courses. Candidates will deliver curriculum in line with international maritime security standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and deliver maritime security training courses in line with ISPS Code and STCW requirements.
Design comprehensive maritime security training modules.
Conduct classroom and field-based instruction on ISPS Code compliance, Port facility security, Shipboard security operations, counter-piracy and anti-terrorism tactics, risk assessment, emergency response, and risk mitigation among others.
Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime security trends, threats, and best practices.
Assist in curriculum development and continuous improvement of training materials.
Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor training to specific operational needs.
