Part-Time Software Engineering Lecturer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate learning for students in Software Engineering and relevant ICT courses.
• Prepare comprehensive course outlines, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with the curriculum.
• Conduct student assessments, including setting, supervising, and marking assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students.
• For postgraduate roles, contribute to research activities and maintain academic excellence through publications.
• Ensure compliance with the university college’s academic policies and professional ethics.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Option 1: A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Software Engineering or a relevant field from a recognized University.
• Option 2: A Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a relevant field with at least two (2) years of University teaching or industry experience.
• Verifiable evidence of teaching experience at the University level and/or relevant industry experience.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
• Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals will be considered an added advantage, particularly for postgraduate teaching.
• Must be able to provide letters of appointment as a lecturer or other relevant supporting documents.
