Part Time Lecturers - Taxation

The Open University of Kenya aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to pursue higher education.

This role is for a Part Time Lecturer in Taxation who will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and academic support to university students in the field of Taxation, primarily utilizing innovative online and distance learning methodologies.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

Education and Experience:

• An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Taxation or related finance/accounting discipline) from an accredited University.
• OR A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level and registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.

Skills and Abilities:

• Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (required for all posts).
• Demonstrated ability to support students online (mandatory for part-time lecturers).
