Part Time Lecturers - Structural Design (Steel and Timber)

The Open University of Kenya aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to pursue higher education.

This position seeks Part Time Lecturers specializing in Structural Design (Steel and Timber).

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

1. Academic Qualification (Option 1): An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University.
2. Academic Qualification (Option 2 - Special Cases): A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University, with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level, and registration in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
3. Technical Skills: Must be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (for all posts).
4. Online Pedagogy: Demonstrated ability to support students effectively in an online learning environment (specifically required for part-time lecturers).
