Part-Time Lecturers - Soil Health in Agricultural Systems

This role is for a Part-Time Lecturer specializing in Soil Health in Agricultural Systems at The Open University of Kenya (OUK). OUK operates using innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education, aimed at addressing limited capacity in traditional universities and accommodating a larger number of qualified students through flexible learning modes.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following requirements:

1. Doctoral Qualification: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University.
2. Alternative Qualification/Experience (Special Cases): A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University, coupled with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level, and registered in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
3. Digital Proficiency: Must be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (required for all posts).
4. Online Support: Must demonstrate the ability to effectively support students online (specific requirement for part-time lecturers).
