Part-Time Lecturers - Responsible and Explainable AI

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to pursue their education.

This role involves serving as a Part-Time Lecturer specializing in Responsible and Explainable AI, primarily through digital platforms and remote learning modes.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:

• An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR
• A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level and registered in good standing for PhD in the relevant field.
• Be computer literate with ability to handle digital content (for all posts).
• Ability to support students online (for part-time lecturers).
