Part Time Lecturers - Public Finance and Taxation

The role of Part Time Lecturer in Public Finance and Taxation is situated within The Open University of Kenya (OUK). OUK aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. Successful candidates will leverage technology and flexible learning modes to educate and support a larger number of qualified students.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

• Education (Option 1): An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Public Finance and Taxation) from an accredited University.
• Education (Option 2/Alternative): A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases), coupled with at least three (3) years teaching experience at the university level, and must be registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
• Technical Skills: Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (for all posts).
• Online Support: Demonstrated ability to support students online (specifically required for part-time lecturers).
