Part Time Lecturers - Media Practicals and Micro Teaching

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students. This role specifically seeks Part-Time Lecturers specializing in Media Practicals and Micro Teaching.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following requirements:

Education and Qualifications

• An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University.
• OR A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level and registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.

Experience

• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level (required if applying with a Master's degree).

Skills and Literacy

• Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (for all posts).
• Ability to support students online (specifically required for part-time lecturers).
