Job Description
The Open University of Kenya (OUK) aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, OUK seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students.
This position is for Part-Time Lecturers specializing in Leadership and Change Management. The role involves supporting students online and handling digital content delivery for the university's programs.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
Qualification: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University.
OR
A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases), combined with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level, and proof of registration in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (for all posts).
Online Support: Must have the ability to support students online (specifically for part-time lecturers).
Note: A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the university level is required for applicants holding a Master's degree applying under the special case criteria.
