About the Role
The Open University of Kenya aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to access quality education.
To achieve this goal, the university is seeking qualified Part-time Lecturers in International Trade Law and Policy to facilitate learning, support students online, and deliver high-quality instruction.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver online lectures and academic support to students in the field of International Trade Law and Policy.
Prepare, manage, and handle digital learning content for course delivery.
Engage with students via online platforms to guide and facilitate their learning process.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback on assignments and examinations.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
For appointment, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR
A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at the university level and registered in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
Digital Skills:
Must be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content and support students in an online environment.
