Part-Time Lecturers - Industrial Attachment and Field Practice

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) is committed to expanding educational access by utilizing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education, to accommodate a larger number of qualified students. This position is for Part-Time Lecturers specializing in supervising and managing Industrial Attachment and Field Practice. Lecturers in this role will be crucial in ensuring students receive adequate practical exposure and support during their training periods.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following requirements:

• Academic Qualification:
  • An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR
  • A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at the university level and registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (mandatory for all posts).
  • Demonstrate the ability to support students online (specific requirement for part-time lecturers).
