Part Time Lecturers - Financial Analysis and Reporting

The Open University of Kenya aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to access higher education.

This specific role is for Part Time Lecturers specializing in Financial Analysis and Reporting, focusing on distance and online education delivery.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following requirements:

1. Education (Primary Requirement): An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR
2. Education (Alternative Requirement): A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at university level and registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
3. Digital Competence (General): Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (applicable for all posts).
4. Online Support: Must possess the ability to support students online (specific requirement for part-time lecturers).
