Part Time Lecturers - Entrepreneurship Education

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) is seeking highly qualified and motivated Part-Time Lecturers specializing in Entrepreneurship Education. OUK aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. Successful candidates will be crucial in leveraging technology and flexible learning modes to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling wider educational access.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this position, candidates MUST demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

1. Educational Qualification (PhD Option):
   • An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Entrepreneurship Education or related discipline) from an accredited University.
2. Educational Qualification (Master's Option):
   • A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (acceptable in special cases).
   • Must possess at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level.
   • Must be registered in good standing for a PhD in the relevant field.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (required for all posts).
   • Demonstrated ability to support students effectively in an online learning environment (specifically required for part-time lecturers).
