Part Time Lecturers - Comparative Education and Internalization

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students, enabling them to pursue higher education opportunities.

This role is for Part Time Lecturers specializing in Comparative Education and Internalization, who will be crucial in delivering quality instruction within the university's flexible learning environment.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:

Education and Experience

1. An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Comparative Education and Internalization) from an accredited University; OR
2. A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level and registered in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.

Skills and Abilities

• Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (mandatory for all posts).
• Possess the ability to support students effectively online (essential for part-time lecturers).
