Successful applicants will be expected to support the University's core mandate of teaching, training, and mentorship of students in the Sociology department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and training to students.
Provide mentorship and academic guidance to university students.
Participate in research activities and publish in credible refereed journals.
Support university examinations and curriculum delivery.
Requirements for Appointment
To qualify for appointment, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Possess a minimum of a PhD degree in the relevant field (Sociology) from a recognized university.
Have at least two (2) years of teaching experience at the university level. This must be evidenced by documentation such as letters of appointment or contracts from previous university engagements.
Evidence of having published in credible refereed journals.
Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must provide recognition and verification certificates from the Commission for University Education (CUE) or the National Qualification Authority (NQA).
